Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
Evelyn McDaniels is a bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) who started working with the HEAR Center in January 2019, before taking time off to welcome her first child. She returned to work with the HEAR Center in September 2021.
Evelyn graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Disorders and her SLPA license from California State University of Los Angeles in 2017. During her time in undergraduate studies, she was a child development teacher on Edwards Air Force Base, before becoming an ABA (adaptive behavioral analysis) therapist with BECA (Behavioral Education for Children with Autism). After graduating from CSULA, she provided in-home, early intervention speech therapy to NLARC (regional center) clients until the end of 2018.
Evelyn is the oldest of six children and has had the opportunity of growing up with three autistic siblings. Using her experience, Evelyn’s goal is to collaborate with families and professionals at HEAR Center to help them to meet the client’s individual needs.
Evelyn is supervised by Angela Ross, Speech-Language Pathologist.
